This is a medium
length Par 4 dogleg
to the left with
great beauty and
challenge. The hole
may be played two
different ways,
depending on the
set of tees used.
From the back two
tees the golfer
is faced with a
choice of attempting
a drive of 230 to
260 yards to carry
the open water and
wetlands. If you
are successful,
your reward is a
short wedge to the
green. The other
choice is to drive
to the right, and
approximate carry
of 200 yards, to
the center of the
fairway and then
hitting a long iron
to the green. Sand
bunkers dot the
right side of the
hole leading the
golfer to an elevated,
rolling green which
is wide but not
very deep. In Golf
Digest CD-ROM Best
Places to Play,
this hole was selected
as on of the best
18 public golf holes
in the country.
