The hole begins from four teeing areas which offer the golfer an elevated view of the landing area and a splendid introduction to the beauty of Northern Michigan Golf. The hole plays downhill to a generous landing area, defined by sand on the left and trees on the right. The hole then doglegs sharply to the right to an uphill green guarded by sand on its front left and right corners. The sand combined with the rolling contours of the green require an accurate golf shot to achieve par.
